Okay, here are my guesses, even though not complete:
1. Moby Dick
4. Divine Comedy
5. Crime and Passion
7. Madame Bovary
8. A Farewell to Arms
Since I came back from B'con too sick to do anything else, I'll play, even if my brain is too foggy for much in the way of intellectual exercise at the moment.
1. Moby Dick
2. ?
3. Merchant of Venice
4. ?
5. Crime and Punishment
6. ?
7. Madame Bovary
8. A Farewell to Arms
9. ?
10. Catcher in the Rye
Clearly I need more coffee before I can play. But I do see Divine Comedy, and Madame Bovary and Moby Dick. I will keep trying on the rest!
Is 9. The Sound and the Fury?
Hope you feel better soon, Lois! Sue Ann and I are healthy because we sat out this B'con (I guess there are some benefits to staying home...).
Okay, I got 1) Moby Dick, 2) Emma, 7) Madame Bovary and 8) Farewell to Arms.
So far all your guesses are absolutely correct!
These are great, Josh. I'm reading Moby Dick with my kids right now, and it'll never be the same.
Thanks, Michael. It's my favorite novel.
Oh, I thought 10 had to be Portnoy's Complaint, and 6 Catcher in the Rye. 5 - Crime and Punishment? Can't get 9, sounds like a Peter Greenaway film or a Mozart opera! But maybe it is in fact The Wizard of Oz.
