Does it hurt me as an author? Could that be the reason I can't break out of the great bulge of the mid-list cohort? (Haha, not likely.) I do care about that, I just don't know how to stifle my feelings...you're such a gentleman that anything you do say is bound to be compassionate and doesn't deserve hostility. In your case, WWES?!
Susan C Sheahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18225627756540127032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4994072470312639837.post-66823688815074749882018-06-21T15:41:40.260-07:002018-06-21T15:41:40.260-07:00Thanks, all. I’ll try to be judicious about when and where I post going forward. Your comments mean a lot. Thanks!James W. It feels wrong to stay out of it, but those online fights suck the spirit right out of you. And the problem is that the flamers enjoy it (at least from the safety of their keyboard), whereas you feel it to the core and are left shaking with rage.

Karen said it, though: people like you, with a fan base, can sway minds, so don't give up.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02029180644399869867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4994072470312639837.post-41558063578952536812018-06-21T07:03:41.164-07:002018-06-21T07:03:41.164-07:00Getting into a flame war sure can put a damper on ...Getting into a flame war sure can put a damper on a perfectly good writing day.Dietrich Kalteishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06403361738445161528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4994072470312639837.post-5583238743147621982018-06-21T06:41:38.682-07:002018-06-21T06:41:38.682-07:00Well said, Jim, short and to the point. So when I see political posts and whether I agree or disagree with them I scroll by them. And I mostly don't post anything political. So I get where you're coming from.Paul D. Consider yourself what in sales is called a "center of influence". Many people admire you, and look up to you for your intelligence. Because you so rarely express your political viewpoint, when you do so it has a much greater force.

You will never convince everyone, that much is true. However, you will convince some, who may otherwise never hear or read a dissenting opinion or fact than they hear or see in the rest of their world. You could be the crack that lets the light come in. Karen in Ohiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13846039203123720312noreply@blogger.com
