He’s won none of them. Also a prolific short story author, he's published over 100 shorts in over 30 anthologies and magazines. Poppy’s background is in newspaper and magazine journalism. She runs crime fiction workshops for the Queensland Writers Centre and local bookshops, and is the founder of the Brisbane Crime Fiction Literary Dinner series. She’s very passionate about connecting crime readers and writers.

Harini Nagendra is a professor of ecology who also writes a historical crime series set in 1920s colonial India. Her first fiction book, The Bangalore Detectives Club, was shortlisted for the Lefty, Agatha, Anthony, and Historical Dagger, and featured in the New York Times Notable Books of 2022. Harini lives in Bangalore with her family, in a home filled with maps. She loves trees, mysteries, and traditional recipes.
